This year marked the 3rd annual Halloween Party we hosted with the Haegelin's and Goss'.
It was at my house this year, well, my parents house because our is way to small to host all those little people.
Every year things have gotten a little easier to plan because we have learned from the year before. Thankfully, the boys both took close to 3 hour naps that afternoon, and allowed me some time to get ready for the party, and even sit on the couch for a few minutes before mayhem broke out.
This year the hosts were a Super Hero, a UPS Man and a "Person."
Sophia was supposed to be a fairy but when the time came was apparently very offended by the idea of being a fairy and insisted that she was just "a person".....but a very cute person at that!
And the mom's of the hosts and our little ones.
Xio and Porter, Me and Owey, Sarah and Gage
Look at all these cute little people...
Eli will, and does push this thing around for hours every time we are at Lolli and Pop's house. Halloween was no different. He pushed his mower from house to house while trick or treating.
We headed out to trick or treat with the Haegelin's and Goss' around Green Trails where I grew up trick or treating. It was very different from 25years ago when the streets were packed with kids and everyone had their lights on.
Our first stop was at the Goodman's house. I have known them since elementary school, so it was nice to start off at a place where everyone knew us and were excited to see the kids. This was Eli's first year to trick or treat and really get the idea of it.
They surprisingly caught on right away. It was such a trip to see Eli walk up to the door and say "Trick or Treat." Not only because it was beyond adorable to see these little people doing this, but because somewhere along the walk 4 houses up from our house Eli lost his shirt and his costume morphed into a Shirtless Lawn Boy pushing his mower.
Eli did not hold back. I watched him as he hand picked piece, after piece, after piece, after piece of candy from their bowl.
Although he knew he was getting candy, he surprised me by only wanting to eat one lollipop that night. He made up from his lack of interest in his candy the next morning.
We all had a wonderful time and can not wait until next year!
