For the Record

Because this seems to be the only "baby book" this kid will get.....tis the life of baby #4,  I wanted to document this here.
On Sunday, Tripp, better known as Clyde these days at our house with Blaine's persistence, took two steps! I thought it was a fluke, so after clapping and cheering him on, I just forgot about it. Then last night at Eli's soccer practice, he took THREE steps! And then did it again later that night before his bath.

Fall Sports Are Upon Us

In the past we have taken the winter off from sports. But somehow, someway, all three boys ended up playing flag football this winter...on 3 different teams. They all ended up on great teams and fun all season. I was all over the place when it came to the games and practices because of Tripp, so I did not get a ton of pictures from the season. We sometimes spent the entire day at the fields for games between the three of them.

Now that football is over, we are in full swing with soccer and baseball. Eli is playing soccer on a new team this season that seems to be a great fit for him! Owen and Cash are both on the Indians baseball team, and Cash is also in Jr. Academy soccer on team Cuba. I missed opening day at the ball field but Blaine took Owen and Cash and Cash was chosen from the entire 8U league to be the one to play in the Home Run Derby. Pretty cool and proud of him for getting up on the field with all those people watching!

They have a killer team this season and some really great coaches. Blaine is one of the assistant coaches this season and its been fun to watch him out there with the boys.

We were so excited for the first game to kick-off the season last week!

We kicked off the season with a win and Owen got the game ball! So proud of how hard he has worked to become such a good little ball player.

Cash has soccer practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Eli has soccer practice on Wednesdays, and then baseball practice is any ones guess throughout the week, usually have baseball 3-4x a week in the Spring. Our Saturdays and Sundays are full of games. Its a crazy life. But it is so much fun! Tripp has been such the trooper and goes to as many practices and games as he can. I kinda think its his happy place...he has cute girls (siblings of the boys on the team) who oogle over him, wide, open, grassy fields to crawl all around and he gets to hang out outside!

Bros watching Bros...I kinda love this picture!

Stay tuned for a lot more sports posts!

Greenbelt Giddiness

Before I got pregnant the boys and I had gotten so adventurous and were on such a good kick getting out and doing really fun things together. I have really missed getting out and doing things like this with them. We had a random Friday off of school and the day was turing out to be the most beautiful day ever. Unfortunately I had signed up on a meal calendar to take lunch to a family that lost their son over the Christmas break and we were picking up food from Taco Deli that day. So before we were due to pick up their food, we headed down to the greenbelt early and went for a little hike/playtime in the water. It was just what we needed that day.
Boy, I sure did miss this! I strapped Tripp on and we went for it! It was the first for him but certainly not the last!

Trail Time!

I am finally getting back down to the trail to run. I did not realize how much I missed it until I got back there! I am still not feeling like myself yet, but working out has just not been easy this time around. With Blaine's new schedule, I have had to find different ways to make it happen and sometimes get creative.

But Tripp and I have made it down there and he seems to enjoy it almost as much as I do! After our run, we have gone to Daily Juice for a little treat. I am hoping to keep it up as consistently as I can until I can get on a better schedule for working out. As much as I love running alone, I have forgotten how much I enjoy having a little one with me down at the trail. I never thought I would be back in this place!
