Once again we returned to our usual house with the Kruger-Lindauer crew in Port A. We had a much bigger showing this year compared to last! Oh Covid.
We did not have the best weather, but that did not stop the kids from having a blast and all of us cousins to enjoy our time together.
Owen and Cash spent most of their time skim boarding this trip, while Tripp and the little cousins collected shells, hermit crabs and tadpoles. Eli and the older kids kinda did their own thing....came to the beach a bit, hung out together in their room and were your average teenagers-ha!
It was interesting and fun to watch the divide this year of the "older" kids and the "younger" ones but they all had fun together and we are so lucky we get to do this. Next year is already booked!
Another cousin stair picture in the books (minus Tripp, who fell asleep at 5pm the last night).
The only part I am leaving out here, that actually put a dark cloud over the trip is that Pop had fallen the day we left, unbeknownst to us until we got to the beach house. It felt like a ton of unknowns at the time, and I had a really had to time getting through the days not knowing what exactly was going on. He ended up needing brain surgery from a brain bleed, which, as you can imagine was jarring and awful information to receive when you are away. I could not get home fast enough to make it to the hospital. I will leave it at that for now. We are (mostly) on the other side of it and he is recovering from the surgery.
