Day Out With The Big Boys
I was really feeling like Eli, Owen and Cash did not get the best of me this summer. I don't know that they actually felt that way, but we always had to work around naps and couldn't go to some places and events because we had Tripp and it was just too hard or I just did not have the energy. He was just at a hard age to do a lot of things. So Blaine and I planned a day where I could take the big boys out for a super fun afternoon and leave Tripp behind. I settled on taking them to QuestATX for the day and invited our friends, the Schwarte's to join us. I kept it a surprise until the day we went and did not tell them much about the place (honestly, I did not know much about it myself!).
We had SO MUCH FUN!!!!
Abby and I laughed so hard at ourselves trying to get over the obstacles and the kids got a kick out of trying! I loved so much being able to focus all my attention on them and to relax and have fun with them, it was MUCH needed! I just loved being with them all day and having so much fun.
Port A 2019
Port A this year did not disappoint! We were the first to arrive and our house was not ready yet, so we went to the one and only Shark and did a little souvenir shopping to get it out of the way and cross it off the list!
As soon as we were able to get into the house, the first thing the boys wanted to check out was the little lake that was literally in our backyard. Which, if you know my boys, is their dream! They did not waste any time to get out there with the cast net....and their fishing poles followed shortly. They spent a ton of time out there!
Story of my life....up early with a little boy...so we spent a lot of time on the porch in the mornings, taking the golf cart out for a ride (which he LOVED), and walking around exploring so we would not wake everyone else up...I just want to eat him up!
In between trips to the beach, the pool, and stuffing our faces, there was a lot of fun, relaxing cousin time in the house!
We spent a lot of time at the beach!
And more times than not, we headed to the pool after the beach...
On Friday, the boys went out with a guide for a fishing trip and I stayed behind with the girls and Tripp.
We celebrated Cash's 7th birthday on the 19th! We decorated the house, opened presents and ate cake!
Every evening we went down to the beach after Tripp was asleep, did some crab hunting, strolls on the beach, shell hunting and other shenanigans...
Honestly, we could be anywhere together and we would have fun. I do not take for granted how lucky we are and how much we enjoy each other. This uninterrupted time together is absolutely priceless.
