Lazy July Recap

Gosh, I have a lot to catch up on! The summer seems to be flying by! It has been a rough one for me. Between trying to keep up with naps and planning outings around them and having a 1 year old who is quite the busy body, its been exhausting and hard. I have been doing my best to not let having a baby limit the summer for the boys. I feel like that means I have sacrificed me enjoying myself on a lot of outings so that the boys can have fun while I chase Tripp around. I honestly did not know a baby could be this busy. He literally never sits still. It is amazing.  But he is AMAZING.

Here is a little overview of some of the fun things we have been up to this summer....

We checked out Typhoon Texas water park. It did not disappoint! We met up with some friends and spent the afternoon there. It was just small enough to be comfortable letting the big boys run around the park together without me following them but big enough to feel like a real water park!

Cash got pretty darn sick that took him completely down for 10 days. It was about two weeks before he was resembling himself again and 5 weeks before his cough was gone. It was a doozy. Lots of trips to the doctor, 2 misdiagnosees and one late night run to Dell when his fever went up to 106. He was in our bedroom for an entire week without coming out at all. He barley ate, drank and lost too much weight. We did our best to quarantine him and thankfully no one else got sick. But the littlest brother had the hardest time keeping away from Cash. And when he finally emerged from the bedroom and was fever free Tripp could not keep his hands off of him!

The gang was finally back together and all healthy for a crazy, lazy, morning!
Pool time with my big and littlest while the two middle went to a baseball game.

Meeting up with old friends, the Reisers, at Zilker.
And old friends, the Dows, at the Wildflower Center.
We had decided we would skip out on the Grey Rock fireworks this year because we knew we would see fireworks on the 4th with the Schwarte's, but at the last minute we got FOMO :) and went anyway. It was a super fun night but it was late and hectic. We saw lots of friends and made it to the fireworks. Blaine actually permitted this event and knew the timing of the fireworks so we decided to make a b-line to out car 2 minutes before the show was over to get out before the mad rush!

On July 4th, we drove out to spend the night at the Schwarte's lake house.
