Dear Owen

You turned 12 this summer. You still have your sweet little baby face, big brown eyes and the softest cheeks around! I know that this next year will probably bring big changes.....oh puberty! But Owen you are a sweet, thoughtful, smart, kind kid who I absolutely adore. You tried your hand at tackle football this summer and really loved it. You are playing basketball, football, took a season of baseball off but starting back in the Spring, and love riding your scooter, cruising around the hood on your bike, trying new foods, eating sushi and boba.

You wanted to take a couple of friends to Kalahari for your birthday so we squeezed it in right before you started MIDDLE SCHOOL! Ah! Speaking of, you were ready and excited to start a new school. I think it helped that Eli was already there and you went in knowing a lot of people already.

Y'all had a lot of fun at Kalahari! Unfortunately, ya'll were running around the waterpark like banshees that these are the only pictures I got!

Here you are on your first day of middle school, ready to take the bus for the first time!

Watching you try your hand at tackle was a lot of fun. The practices were no joke, 4x a week! But you embraced it and gave it all you got. Watching you improve and become more comfortable was amazing to watch. I love watching you play sports!

Owen, you are a joy. You are the best hugger and are so grateful and thankful for the things we do for you. You have such a tender heart, our emotional boy, but you are going to do great things and go so far. I can not wait to watch you grown this next year and alllllll the years to come!

Random Summer Happenings

We started the summer off in Houston at Owens last baseball tournament. We played some baseball, and had lots of time to hang out together, go out to eat, visit The Museum of Candy and even get to visit with my friend, Paige and her son Peter!

Lots and LOTS of pool time this summer!

Cash went to the Concordia Baseball Camp and won MVP at the end of the week--SO proud of him!

We did Greyrock fireworks again this year for the 4th of July!

I know this picture is a little blurry, but the way Blaine is looking at Tripp with such adoration makes me just love this picture! This is the way he ALWAYS looks at him!
UT baseball camp for Cash!

A trip to ATX Quest with buddies.

A forced outing at the food trailers on Barton Springs...because we all needed to get out of the house!

Hanging at home...

Eli found a love for making fried Oreos!
The boys found a love for canoeing/kayaking on Town Lake (or Lady Bird Lake if you are not from Austin) and we went our fair share of times this summer-super fun way to kill an afternoon!

Dip in Barton Springs!

Austin FC game with the girls and Hobo!

Summer shananigans with buddies
Summertime thunderstorm.

Special visit from an old friend, Jimmy Gonzales.

And next up....Port A 2022!
