First Dentist Appointment!

For the first time, we took all 4 boys to the dentist at once. It was Tripp's first time! Usually, the dentist is Blaine's duty to help keep my irrational dentist anxiety at bay. But I thought this time might call for some back up, plus, I could not trust that Blaine would take a picture for me-ha!

And I would be so upset if I didn't see this cute little face in the dentist chair for the first time!

He is, by far, the most social of any of the boys at this age! He walked right in with tons of confidence, hopped in the chair and volunteered to go first! He let the dental assistance do a full-on cleaning with no issues what so ever! He was a champ. I was so, so proud of him. When he was done, he said thank you and asked for a high five. When Dr. Matt, the dentist came in he ran up to him and gave him a hug...he has never met the man in his life! He hoped back in the chair and let Dr. Matt do his check up like he was a pro!

He walked away with a mouth full of clean, healthy teeth....and a new toothbrush that he was pumped about!

Broken Bone #......I've Lost Count

A couple of weeks ago, Cash was playing wiffle ball in the front yard with Owen and his buddy Griffin. When things got competitive and Cash dove home to miss being tagged out by Owen. Blaine saw it all play out...and instantly knew Cash was hurt. After laying on the ground for 20 minutes, we were finally able to get him up and in the house. Unfortunately for him, and his baseball season, he fractured the head of his radius and possibly a hairline fracture in his wrist (we will know for sure if the fracture was in his wrist at his follow-up).
Thankfully, it missed his growth plate and the location of the fracture heals very quickly so he only has 3 weeks in the cast!

He was pretty nervous he would not be able to sleep, but it has not been a problem at all! It also has not held him back one bit. He is as active and wild as ever. Running laps in PE, riding his scooter, football in the front yard, kickball in a friends cul-de-sac....I have to keep reminding him to TAKE IT EASY YOU HAVE BROKEN ARM!!!!

It also has not held him back from baseball...he has gone to practices and to the field to watch his team play.

Poor Maxwell, also had some bad luck this baseball season!

And of course, in true Cash fashion, he convinced the cute high school kids who were power washing our driveway, so write his name for him! I know this has nothing to do with breaking his arm....but of course Cash would get them to do this...only Cash!

Im hoping this is the last one for a while. Because, lets be real, with 4 boys, we are bound to have more broken bones. But Cash has taken in all in stride, but is anxiously counting down the days to get the cast off!

FIFITY Years!!!!

Everyone thinks their parents are the best. But mine really are. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 4. We were going to plan a trip or something really exciting and big for this anniversary, but obviously with Covid still hanging around, we changed up and had a nice, low-key dinner at their house with just our immediate family. The best part of it was that we were all finally vaccinated so we were able to relax a little and enjoy the time together stress free. It also happened to be Easter. My mom puts together a pretty epic egg hunt every year so it was double the fun to have the hunt and celebrate my parents.

My mom is always game for getting on the floor and spending hours playing games with the kids. She and Ethan are kid magnets and they will just sit and play with them for as long as they will let them.

I was terrible at taking pictures this evening. But my dad made a beautiful, HUGE roast, asparagus two ways, mashed potatoes, salad, okra and tater tots. It was a beautiful and delicious meal! For desert we had a chocolate cake my mom made, a vanilla and strawberry cake Ethan picked up, and I made a key lime pie. It was a beautiful night and we were able to eat outside and enjoy each others company. It felt like the old days pre-covid on a Sunday evening.

Not exactly sure what is happening here...haha!

But these two....love them more than I could ever express. Happy anniversary you two love birds! It was a wonderful, love filled evening with my family who I am forever grateful for. I will never take for granted how lucky I am.
