A Few Tripp Pics

Kruger/Lindauer BIG Beach Trip!

This year our huge beach trip with the entire Kruger side of the family was scheduled over Labor Day weekend. This meant that almost every single person could make it this year! Except of course for Blaine...womp womp. His new work schedule just did not allow it. So knowing that I was going alone with all 4 boys and how difficult the last beach trip was when he was there, I was very anxious and nervous and kind of dreading it. I have always loved this trip, and was disappointed that I was dreading it so much.  Blaine tried to convince me to take the year off and just stay home, but there was no was no way I was going to miss it--it is such a special time for the boys (and me too) to be with all their cousins for an entire weekend.

Ethan drove to and from with me, thankfully. We decided to go up a day early and so did my parents. The house we stay in is only 10 bedrooms, so my parents had planned to stay at the hotel a block away. We stayed there as well for Thursday night. It was a nice way to go up and ease our way into the weekend.

We checked in, and hit up the pool!

As soon as they had been in the pool long enough, we headed across the street to a little pizza joint for dinner. It was really fun to have my parents there with us before all the crazy began. Very rarely do we get them all to ourselves when they are not busy doing other things. It was a lot of fun to be with them.

I so wish I knew what secret Cash was telling my Dad!

That night we went to check out the beach before bedtime. The boys ran around and we sent Blaine a picture with all of our sad faces that he was not there with us.

That first night, Tripp decided he was not going to sleep much. So it made for a rocky start of the day for me. But he did get in a decent nap, of course when everyone was going down for breakfast. So I stayed back and the boys had a fun breakfast with my parents.

Of course my mom came with games for the boys to play! The morning before we headed to the big house we relaxed, swam, played games and hung out.

And then it began.....everyone started trickling in throughout the day, and the crazy started.....it did not take long before everyone was in the pool and running around.
Get ready for a bunch of pictures.....

It was pretty amazing to have 17 of the 20 great grand kids all together at the beach! Maw would have loved seeing them all together!

I have to say, I would do it all over again, but damn (!!!!) it was so hard. Tripp did not sleep well, at all. He did not nap well. It was so stressful for me. And I was so ready to come home. It seriously took me a week to recover. But it was also an amazing time being all together and watching all the kids bond and spend the weekend together.
