This fall we had soccer, baseball and flag football on our sports schedule. And phew, am I glad its almost over, I am ready for a break. Although its been an amazing season!
Eli and Owen both decided to take a break from soccer this season and try out flag football. They had some buddies on the team and were so excited to play. Owen played up with 3rd and 4th graders, so he was by far the smallest and youngest but he did not let that get in his way. Eli on the other hand started off the season with his broken arm and was not allowed to play in the first few games. He practiced with his team, but had to sit out the first few weeks. He was super pumped when he was able to jump in the game!
They both loved it!
Cash stuck with soccer, same team, same coach and has had a wonderful season so far. He loves it, he gets in there and plays really hard. We have one more week until the season ends. But where the real excitement came for Cash this season was with t-ball. Lucky for me we had a parent who is a photographer and took some amazing pictures of all the boys this season!
Cash was invited to be on a t-ball team with his soccer coach and a few boys from his soccer team. About half of the boys had played a season before and it totally showed in the beginning on the season. I was not so certain that Cash would take to the sport in the beginning. He was so green. He seemed a little bored learning everything, waiting in the outfield.....
But seriously, seeing him in that cute little uniform was enough for me.
But somewhere along the way, things started to click for him. He was really enjoying the game and wanted to improve to get the game ball. And let me tell you, he went from 0-10 so fast! He ended the season with TWO game balls. And his very last play? A home run!
His team did not win the championships, but they played hard, they had fun, and he is coming back for Spring Ball.
