We kept busy this Spring Break! For our first stop, we headed over to Graceland for an afternoon. Ate, drank, played golf and pickle ball and hung out....
I squeezed in a day at work, and Cash wanted to join me. As much as it is a distraction to have the boys come with me, I do love that they love being at the store and want to come. I love the memories I have of going to work with my Dad!
Then....we headed to San Antonio with Lauren and her crew! We made a stop at the zoo and had a great day! Before we headed to the JW Marriott. It was so amazing and refreshing to get to spend time like that with her. It had been YEARS since we got to spend that much time together. Not to mention, having our boys get to know each other better.
Really and truly, everyone should have a friend like Lauren. I am so blessed and so lucky to have her. She is just one of my people and I love her dearly! I love that we got to have this time together!
But here is the doozy in our Spring Break. On the morning we were leaving the JW, Tripp tumbled out of the luggage carrier at the hotel and immediately was crying and in pain. I really tried to brush it off, give him Tylenol, thinking nothing could have really happened, it was less than a foot from the ground. But the pain just seemed to get worse. We made it home, but he wouldn't let us pick him up, he would not take his shirt off or move his arm. So we made the decision to go to the children's urgent care for X-rays that evening. Sure enough, he had broken his collar bone. He was soooo upset and refusing medicine. On the way home, he threw up in the car from the pain and then again when we got home. Those next couple of weeks were really tough. We found him a better brace that made all the difference in his comfort level and he slept in bed with me so I could help adjust him during the night. He was such a trooper for the next month.
We had UT baseball tickets and I was not sure if Tripp would be able to make it, but we gave it a shot. He did great and we made it through the game!
We even ran into Judson!
The day would not have been complete without autographs, so we stuck around and the boys made out!
On the way home, we stopped at the station to say hi to Blaine and show Owen's friend, Salim, who came with us the fire station.
Super happy his his new brace!
We ended the week with our neighborhood Food Trailer Night.
Wondering where Eli is on all these pictures?!?! He was living his best life with his friends! He spend the first few days at the lake with a bunch of buddies, had a couple days at home and then went to the beach with more friends!!!
