Oh 2020...its been quite the year. We were determined to make Halloween fun for the kids to matter what it ended up looking like.
Owen had a baseball tourney that weekend, but thankfully, he had early games on Saturday and not "too early" games on Sunday.
The week of Halloween, Owen and Cash were still home doing virtual school and he and I had started running as many days during the week that we could in the neighborhood. We would just run about 1.5 miles, he he decided that week, he would run as a hotdog to make people smile! It worked, and it was so funny!
I was so impressed with our neighborhood and how they went above and beyond to make Halloween safe and fun for all the kids. There were tables set out full of candy, candy shoots and cannons, clothes lines lined with candy hanging, candy stuck in the yard with sticks....it was really amazing to see the effort people put into it and how safe and fun it was for everyone!
Eli had plans to hang out with his three buddies that he has met up with at the cafe for the last few months. We (the moms), call them the old man lunch bunch:) This was the first year we were going to let him go off and do his own thing! I dropped him at his friends Jack house for pizza and a little trick or treating on his street, and then they were delivered to Logans street for some more fun.
In true 2020 fashion, Eli's costume did not show up in time for Halloween, so he went as himself wearing a do-rag!
The rest of us headed over to Avana to say a quick hello to some friends, the Masts, and then went next door to meet up with some other friends for the remainder of the night. We had a bull rider, a hot dog and a UPS driver. Unfortunately, the day was a little crazy and I did not get a pictures with all the boys.
It was a really fun evening and Owen and Cash ran wild around the neighborhood and got to see some buddies and collect way too much candy!
