Dear Trippy, Mighty Clydie, Clyde, TC
You are TWO. Happy birthday my sweet, sweet boy.
Anytime anyone asks you what you want for your birthday you immediately yell NO-NUTS!!!! aka donuts. All you want is donuts:)
So donuts is what you got! Although we celebrated your day in quarantine, we had a really wonderful and fun day! The boys helped me the night before your birthday with all of our usual birthday decorations--streamers, balloons and banners....they were really excited to help. I am certain they were more excited about your birthday than anyone!
Owen looked at me, almost with tears in his eyes and told me he was just so excited for you, and Cash told me he wasn't going to be able to sleep the night before because he was so excited.
We woke up and BAM---DONUTS! Lots of them!
After donuts we gave you your gifts (lego set, a balance bike and a truck), we played with balloons and the big boys did school. After your nap we had a socially distanced play time with your cousins in the front yard and hit the pinata followed by pizza and cake. It was such a fun filled day celebrating you!
We also had someone come and decorate our driveway with a birthday message to add a little extra flair and fun!
Geez, you are something special. At two years old, you are a maniac. You never sit still. You will spend all the energy climbing up into my lap to find the perfect little spot, sit for 1.3 seconds and then get up again. You run everywhere, never walk. You climb...pull chairs around the house to stand up on them to get what you want. You climbed out of your crib at 18 months, so we put the mattress on the floor. Then you started crawling out again a couple months later, so Dad had to rig your crib with a piece of wood to make it taller. You are obsessed with Maggie right now, I am not so sure she is your biggest fan though- you try and ride her, pull her tail and hair on her face, you just torture the poor dog but she puts up with it and could not be more patient with you. You love your brothers and boy, do they love you! It is the sweetest thing I have ever witnessed to see you guys interact with eachother. Every night you go around and tell everyone good night...including Maggie.
You are talking a lot! You repeat everything we say and point out things you see all the time. You have started stringing three words together. You love to read books. You love your papi (paci). You eat all day long. You love Pop--you run up to him every time you see him! Ethan is also one of your absolute favorite people. You are so laid back and go with the flow all the time, I guess it comes with the territory of being the 4th child.
Trucks! You love trucks--especially garbage trucks and school buses, but any truck brings you joy. You always go to sleep with a few trucks sprinkled around your crib. You love being outside. You spend hours playing in the rocks in the backyard, filling up cups and trucks and pouring them out. You love searching for doodle bugs and pushing your lawn mower around.
Unfortunately, your first year at SHPC was cut short but you actually loved school! You were my only child who did not cry at drop off every day! It made me so proud!
You love nu-nu's (noodles) and will throw down a plate of pasta with red sauce, you love all fruits although watermelon is your favortie, chips and dip (salsa), pippa (pizza), cereal with your dad in the morning, all sweets, cheese, anything that I am eating, you will come up to me and say "try?" in the absolute sweetest little voice...these are a few of your favorites. You are so goofy, think farts are hilarious, and are always smiling. I hope I never forget the sound of your sweet little 2 year old voice, it is just the best! My current favorite things you say right now are "hold you" when you want me to pick you up, and "I'll go" when you want to come somewhere with us. You also call your paci a papi (and do the papi swap, as we call it where you spit one out for no obvious reason and replace it with another!) and you call motorcycles momo's.
It is impossible to love you any more than I do. You are just amazing. We love you deeply and dearly and wish you the best year ahead!
Love, Mom
