My Uncle Jimmy recently bought an old fishing boat and had been fixing it up for the last few weeks. His boys are grown, and don't care so much for fishing, so you can imagine his excitement to take my boys out on his boat for its first voyage! And the boys were equally excited!
Eli was so very concerned that he would not be able to fish/cast with his cast, so for the days leading up to our planned fishing trip, he practiced casting in the cul-de-sac to make sure he could make it work.
On Labor Day morning, bright and early we headed out to the lake.
The morning started out a little slow, with a few little perch and other little fish.
But then things started to pick up with a catfish, some trout, a few stripped bass, and some sunfish!
It was a great morning on Lake Austin! The boys had a blast.
